Help us test Quizzabit
Thanks for helping! Quizzabit is a quiz game you play with friends, each on your own phone. Before it comes out, it's being tested on Android through Google Play: you get each new version before anyone else, and what you tell us decides what gets fixed first.
The test uses the real Quizzabit, so your account, friends and games stay when the app comes out. Testing on iPhone comes later.
What you need
- An Android phone with Google Play
- The Google account your phone's Play Store uses, usually a Gmail address
- To be 16 or older
Send us your Google account
Email [email protected] the address of the Google account your phone's Play Store uses. It has to be that one: Google Play only lets in the accounts we add. We'll write back once you're in.
Accept the invitation
Open the test page on your phone and tap "Become a tester". If you have more than one Google account, check that it shows the one you sent us.
Install Quizzabit
Get it from Google Play. If the Play Store can't find it yet, wait a few minutes and try again.
Make an account
Make one in the app, then email us your username. We'll give you Premium for the test: games for up to 16 players and 20 questions, and 5 AI quizzes a day.
Stay for 14 days
Google only lets a new app come out for everyone after at least 12 testers have stayed in its test for 14 days in a row. So for at least 14 days, please:
- keep the app installed, and don't leave the test;
- play now and then, ideally with friends.
New versions arrive like any app update, through Google Play. Smaller changes don't even need that: the app downloads them in the background and uses them the next time you open it.
What to try
- A game with friends: one of you hosts, and the others join with the code, the link or the QR code, with an account or as a guest. Try it in the same room and from far apart.
- An AI quiz about any topic you like, or from notes you paste in.
- Friends: add someone by their username, invite them to a game, and see who's online.
- Chat in the lobby.
- Both languages: switch between English and Greek in Settings. Players in the same game can each use their own.
- A bad connection: lock your phone or turn on airplane mode during a game, then come back.
- Sounds, music and vibration, and their switches in Settings.
Tell us what you think
Email [email protected] about anything: bugs, confusing screens, ideas, or what you liked. For a bug, please include:
- what you did, what happened, and what you expected;
- your phone's model and Android version;
- the app's version, at the bottom of Settings;
- a screenshot or a screen recording, if you can.
Leaving the test
You can leave at any time: open the test page, leave the program, and uninstall the app. To delete your account too, do that first in the app, in Settings → Account → Delete account.
